John Zink Company Acquires Coen Company, Inc.


TULSA, Okla. April 3:John Zink Company, LLC has finalized the acquisition of Coen Company, Inc., a privately held combustion supplier to the power generation, steam generation and process combustion markets. Coen will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of John Zink Company.

"Coen's and John Zink's Todd Combustion technical capabilities and operational resources are complementary and, combined, we believe will enhance the value we provide to our global customers," said Stephen Pirnat, John Zink Company president and chief executive officer.

No financial details were announced.

The acquisition includes all stock of the current ownership. Coen has about 270 employees in North America. Coen, based in Woodland, Calif., has an engineering and sales office in Foster City, Calif. It operates manufacturing sites in Quebec and near Mexico City. The deal also includes Coen's interest in two joint ventures: DeJong-Coen in The Netherlands and Coen-Bharat in India.
