JiangSu Sailboat Petrochemical Selected Burckhardt Compression to Supply Key Equipment for Both Autoclave and Tubular Processes in New LDPE-EVA Plant

Burckhardt Compression has been awarded an order from JiangSu Sailboat Petrochemical Co., Ltd. to deliver two Hyper Compressors as Secondary Compressors and two Process Gas Compressors as Booster/Primary Compressors for their LDPE-EVA plant in Lianyungang City, China. The production process is licensed by LyondellBasell.
Burckhardt Compression secured the order thanks to its good reputation in the after sales market in China and a large number of references in low density polyethylene (LDPE) plants with similar or larger capacities. These Hyper Compressors have been in operation since decades and have proven their high reliability and safety. Thanks to its extensive know-how in this area Burckhardt Compression can provide the best solutions for LDPE-EVA plants.
The new plant will help to meet Chinas growing demand for ethylene and propylene and is set to produce high-quality LDPE and very high EVA content LDPE. The both process lines have a production rate of 200,000 metric tons per year (Tubular) and 100,000 metric tons per year (Autoclave). Burckhardt Compression supplies a complete package of compressors and major equipment. Delivery of the compressors starts in early 2015 and the plant is expected to be in operation in the end of 2015.
Hyper Compressors are high pressure reciprocating compressors for LDPE plants with discharge pressures up to 3,500 bar (50,000 psi).
