DANBORO, PA, August 18, 2008 - Jay McKenna has been promoted to the newly created position of Global Product Manager-New Products at PennEngineering®. In his new position, McKenna will direct the development and worldwide launch of new PEM® fastener products.
Among his responsibilities, McKenna will oversee and monitor new PEM fastener product market activities in all regions of the world and will drive product line strategy, tactics, and manufacturing plans.
McKenna joined PennEngineering in 1988 and most recently served as Special Products Manager. He earned his M.E. degree from Villanova University.
PennEngineering develops and manufactures PEM self-clinching, broaching, weld, and surface mount fasteners; SI inserts for plastics; and At1as® SpinTite®, MaxTite®, and Plus+Tite® blind threaded inserts. Fastener-installation equipment includes PEMSERTER® automatic and manual precision presses, In-Die and robotics capabilities, the StickScrew® System for small-screw insertion, and Atlas® tools.
