Elo TouchSystems Business Together with Sensitive Object to Expand into New Markets

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Nov. 23, 2010 - Tyco Electronics, a leading global provider of engineered electronic components, network solutions, specialty products and subsea communication systems, announced a leadership change in its Touch Solutions business. James O'Toole is appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Touch Solutions business effective immediately. In his new role, James is assuming full responsibility for both Elo TouchSystems business and Sensitive Object and is succeeding Mark Mendenhall who, after building the successful Elo TouchSystems brand, has left the organization to pursue other endeavors.

Prior to taking the helm of the Touch Solutions business, James led the Circuit Protection business at Tyco Electronics, where he brought focus to the strategic direction, delivering profitable growth through the launch of innovative solutions and improved operations. As a worldwide industry pioneer for innovative touch technologies and products under the Elo TouchSystems brand and with the acquisition of Sensitive Object, Tyco Electronics is focused to leverage the strategic potential of the Touch Solutions business by expanding into new markets and applications, such as personal computers, consumer products, white goods and automotive.
