JMD Hires Veteran Production Performance Engineer to Oversee New Manufacturing Programs

ATLANTA - May 21, 2007 -Jacket Micro Devices Inc. (JMD) has hired Rick Clancy as the new director of manufacturing engineering. Clancy is responsible for all aspects of JMD's manufacturing engineering including qualification of laminate and RFIC suppliers, module assembly and test and supplier performance monitoring. Clancy will also direct transfer of production processes to JMD supply partners, all production control activities and quality systems.

"We will be ramping up a new line of fully integrated WLAN and WiMAX front end modules to full production by the end of this year," said JMD CEO Jim Stratigos. "Rick's experience with manufacturing engineering and the transfer and monitoring of manufacturing processes to the supply chain will be invaluable as we complete this and many more initiatives to come."

Clancy brings 15 years' of experience in a variety of manufacturing roles. Most recently, he was Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Packaging & Assembly at Conexant Systems, Inc, where he was responsible for IC packaging technology including materials selection, process flow, package design, production qualification and new product launch. Clancy started his career in failure analysis at Ford Motor Company, resolving technical issues on a wide range of electronic parts and systems. He also worked at Honeywell in advanced ceramic materials processing and implemented a pilot-to-production process for thin flex substrates.
