April 09, 2010 - LARGO, FLORIDA - The JOFRAŽ AMC 910 advanced multi-purpose calibrator from AMETEK Calibration Instruments offers unmatched versatility, performance and value. It provides the performance features of a laboratory calibrator, including high-precision signal, temperature and pressure calibrations, along with the addition of an isolated measurement channel and optional external pressure modules that make it ideal for multiple calibration requirements.
As a temperature and pressure calibrator, the AMC 910 offers exceptional stability and accuracy that are traceable to international standards. In addition, it combines sourcing of current and voltage and measurement of millivolts and resistance with a second completely isolated measurement channel. The result is a single instrument with the flexibility for laboratory or field calibration and the versatility to calibrate or verify data loggers, chart recorders, multi-meters, hand-held calibrators and other industrial instruments.
The AMC 910's signal capabilities include current, voltage and resistance. In temperature mode, the unit is able to read and source any one of 11 types of thermocouples and nine RTD types as well as YSI-400 and Ohms for non-standard curves. In pressure mode, the instrument operates with all JOFRA APM (Advanced Pressure Modules) modules covering pressure ranges from vacuum to 700 bar/10,000 psi. Multiple pressure references are available through more than 60 different pressure modules, representing vacuum, absolute, gauge and compound pressure types as well as all relevant pressure units up to 0,01% full scale accuracy.
With the additional fully isolated measurement channel, the AMC 910 is effectively two instruments in one. It allows users to calibrate process transmitters and signal isolators. It incorporates a 24-volt loop power supply to power 2-wire transmitters and a HART interface resistor enabling direct connection to HART communicators.
The user friendly JOFRA AMC 910 features a direct keyboard entry for mode, range and value along with two clear backlit displays. External PC control is possible via RS 232, IEEE-488 or optional USB interface.
The JOFRA AMC 910 multi-purpose calibrator replaces the JOFRA AMC 900 calibrator and is part of a comprehensive line of pressure, temperature, and force-measurement and calibration products marketed by AMETEK Calibration Instruments under the CHATILLONŽ, JOFRAŽ, LLOYDŽ, and MANSFIELD & GREENŽ brand names.
AMETEK Calibration Instruments is among the world's leading manufacturers of calibration instruments for temperature, pressure, and process signals and a unit of AMETEK Measurement & Calibration Technologies, a division of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with annual sales of more than $2.1 billion.
