JLG Announces MacDonald Retirement after Three Decades Leading Engineering; Hatch Promoted to VP - Engineering


McConnellsburg, Penn., October 8, 2008 - JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE: OSK], announced today that Wayne MacDonald, senior vice president of engineering will retire effective September 30, 2008, after more than 30 years with the company.

Craig Paylor, Oshkosh executive vice president and JLG president, said "Since 1975, Wayne MacDonald has been a key member of the JLG family and instrumental to our success. Tim Hatch succeeds MacDonald as JLG's new vice president - engineering. Tim joined JLG in February 2008 as vice president of value engineering where he focused on employing lean principles in the design, manufacturing, remanufacturing and service of JLG products. Tim has more than 27 years of broad based experience in global engineering, project management and manufacturing. Prior to joining JLG, Tim was the executive director - program management and platform engineering for Magna Closures, a division of Magna International, the fourth largest automotive supplier. He was also vice president engineering & manufacturing for Wagon Engineering Inc., where he was instrumental in driving improvements in product development and manufacturing while delivering expanded revenue opportunities. Tim started his career with the Ford Motor Company in the U.K., holding progressively more responsible positions in production and engineering.

Tim holds a bachelor's degree in manufacturing systems from Anglia Polytechnica University and a master's degree in advanced automotive engineering from Loughborough University in the U.K.

Hatch will continue to report directly to Paylor.
