SAN JOSE, CA, January 3, 2008 - JAI, Inc., manufacturer of industrial video cameras for machine vision, defense, and traffic applications, today announced the appointment of Steve Kinney to the position of director of technical pre-sales and support for the Americas region. Kinney has spent more than 10 years in the industrial camera business, in a variety of product management and technical support roles. Most recently, Kinney has served as product manager for products designed and manufactured in JAI's U.S. facility.
In his new role, Kinney will manage the company's technical support group in the Americas and will also provide applications support to JAI's North American sales efforts. This will include specific pre-sales activities, technical training, seminars, trade show support, and selected market and technology analysis for new product development. He will also continue to serve as the chairman of the industry-wide Camera Link standards committee, a group that he has led since 2000.
