The Well City Fox Cities initiative is part of a national movement to build healthier communities by encouraging a focus on health and wellness at local worksites. The Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), a national non-profit organization and leading resource for health and wellness promotion, created the Well City USA concept in 1991.
J. J. Keller was proud to be recognized at the event, along with four other local employers: Children's Hospital of Wisconsin - Fox Valley (Gold Level), Jewelers Mutual (Gold Level), WE Energies (Gold Level), and Werner Electric Supply Company (Silver Level). The companies earned Well Workplace Awards by implementing successful, comprehensive worksite wellness programs.
The Awards Celebration took place in Appleton, Wisconsin at Lawrence University's Warch Campus Center. The event included presentations by Rhex Arboleda and "Move to the Groove" (recently featured on ABC's Extreme Home Makeover) and "That Guy Nurse" John Shier.
