Press release date: December 1, 2010

BURNSVILLE, MN - December, 2010 - Ironwood Electronics is pleased to announce that it has won Electronic Design's Best Electronic Design award for 2010. Ironwood Electronics DC-AX2000/RTAX2000S-01 Actel device converter won in the Connector category and is highlighted in Electronic Design's December 9, 2010 issue, available through this link:http://electronicdesign.com/article/components/LED-Connector-And-Motion-Components-Steal-The-2010-Spotlight.aspx

We are proud that Ironwood Electronics's engineering prowess and the advancement the device converter represents was recognized by Electronic Design, in particularly by Technology Editor, Mathew A. Dirjish, who selected this product for recognition.

DC- AX2000/RTAX2000S-01 allow customers to use a commercial Axcelerator® FG896 package during prototyping, and then switch to an equivalent CQ352 package for production. When availability or performance of a given IC becomes an issue, an Ironwood device converter allows the use of a substitute device without requiring redesign of the target system. Package type and pin outs can be changed with an adapter that fits in the original package space. We offer a number of standard device converter parts, however, device converters are typically developed to unique specifications. Ironwood Electronics is the industry leader in developing custom solutions. Our custom engineering staff is the strongest and most experienced in our industry. Quick turn design and manufacturing is a hallmark of our service to customers.
