Ipsen Hires New Vice President of Finance


CHERRY VALLEY, IL - Ipsen, Inc. welcomes Kenneth Maher as the new Vice President of Finance, replacing Matt Arndt, who was recently promoted to CEO of Ipsen China.

Maher's office is located at Ipsen's facility in Cherry Valley and he reports to Geoffrey Somary, President and CEO of Ipsen USA. Maher is responsible for both Ipsen USA Finance and I.T. departments and will support both local and global strategic initiatives.

Prior to Ipsen, Maher was the Senior Director of Finance for DeVry, Inc. where he was responsible for supporting DeVry's online education business which involved managing several departments including finance, accounting and student finance. Maher also managed all corporate development activity for DeVry, completing several acquisitions both in the U.S. and internationally. He also held senior financial roles at GATX, PricewaterhouseCooper, LLC, and General Motors.

Maher brings strong international business experience, having spent many years in Europe, Russia, Asia and India, and is proficient in several languages. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Russian Studies from The American University in Washington, D.C. and earned his MBA in Finance, Accounting and Operations Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Having served nine years as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, deployed to Iraq for 12 months in 2007, Maher's background aligns well with Ipsen's Hard Work Wins mantra.
