Preliminary figures 2006
Sant'Antonino, 26th January 2007 - The 2006 financial year proved very successful for the Interroll group, which provides premium solutions in the area of materials handling, logistics and automation. Sales, advanced significantly from CHFm 245.5 to CHFm 312.0 year on year. This increase of 27.1% is due to 11.2% organic growth and 15.9% attributable to the acquisition of BDL. Order income also improved and marginally exceeded invoiced sales for the year.
Supported by positive economic developments, Interroll's organic growth profited from an increased market share in both established and emerging areas as well as product innovation. Additional growth was generated by drum motor specialist BDL, which was acquired on 1st March 2006 and whose turnover, as expected, developed favourably during 2006. The integration of the former BDL units is on track.
Growth was generated by all product groups and activities of the Interroll Components and Subsystems divisions. Geographically, Asia registered the strongest growth registering a sales increase of 49%.
