Liberty Packaging Co., Inc. recently held its inaugural Intercept Technology Advanced training program for distributor packaging representatives. The program coincided with the launch of Liberty's new video aimed at the manufacturing industry "Do You Know What You're Spending on Corrosion?" Liberty President Elaine Spitz commented: "The Intercept Technology heavy duty barrier packaging is simple, effective and easy to use, but because of methods required with the use of old-fashioned, barrier products, the more simple Intercept way needs to be explained and demonstrated; Intercept is an easy, clean process to implement into a packaging program."
Liberty's new video recalls the history and spells out the advantages of Intercept packaging. It covers many areas of cost savings for companies that many would not consider attainable through a change of a packaging material. To reinforce the video, special guest speaker Keith Donaldson, Director of the Intercept Technology Group, shared case studies of Intercept solutions from from all over the globe. Donaldson's presentation included application and testing information, as well as anecdotes from international users of Intercept packaging, prompting much discussion from program participants. This half-day program also included a Liberty Packaging web site review. "We felt that including a review of Liberty's web site into the distributor training was necessary. Web analytics show that visitors were not finding all the hidden jewels of information about Intercept Technology protective barrier packaging," said Joe Spitz, V.P. of Liberty's sales and marketing. "Our web site is full of valuable content like videos, white papers, value points, and a blog. We want to show folks how important this content is, where to find it, and how best to share it. This was a good start."
Intercept packaging for corrosion and ESD protection is being used internationally by manufacturers in the following industries (partial list): aerospace, defense, medical equipment, electronics, oil, mining, and gas, automotive, jewelry, construction equipment, and consumer products. "Sometimes when a product line is so diverse and crosses over to so many industries as Intercept does, its credibility needs to be reinforced." Added Spitz "People may think Intercept is too good to be true, but this is one product that lives up to its promise." The program took place in Braintree, MA.
Liberty is planning a second Intercept Advanced Training session to be held in Spring 2012.
