Samtec has released an interactive "RF Cable Assembly Builder" program at http://www.samtec.com/rfbuilder to help customers quickly and easily create valid Samtec part numbers for RF Cable Assemblies.
The program currently allows specification of RF Cable Assemblies using RG178, RG174 and RG316 coax cables for MMCX, MCX, SMA, SMB, TNC, BNC and N type RF end options, and 1,13mm diameter and 0,81mm diameter coax cables for micro high frequency end options.
The RF Cable Builder provides cable type and length options, and then offers a choice of End 1 and End 2 RF Connectors for the chosen cable type. Once these end options have been specified, the complete RF Cable Assembly part number can be view along with engineering drawings and technical specifications for the series. Finally, with the newly validated part number, pricing and samples of that specific RF assembly can be requested.
