North Brunswick, New Jersey - May 17, 2011 - Intense Ltd., developer of next generation semiconductor lasers, systems and solutions, will feature a number of new high power diode laser products at Laser World of Photonics in Munich, Hall 1, Booth 400 (IMM Photonics). Among the new technology to be introduced is the Series 8000 793mm Multi-Mode Pump Module. Designed for eye-safe, thulium-doped fiber laser systems, these multi emitter modules provide up to 20W of output power from a 105-micon core fiber. The company will also introduce the high brightness Hermes 650W Mini Stack, an ultra compact QCW stack with an output in excess of 8 kW/cm2 operating with ~300µs pulses. Available in 808mm and 940mm wavelengths; custom wavelengths and multicolor options on request.
The entire Hermes line will be on display at Laser World of Photonics, including the QCW bars the provide up to 400W of output power, and the QCW 1kW, 2kW, and 3KW stacks with 1kW, 2kW, and 3kW of output power, respectively. All Hermes bars and stacked arrays incorporate Intense's patented Quantum Well Intermixing (QWI) technology. This increases the brightness and reliability of the lasers while dramatically reducing instances of catastrophic optical damage (COMD). These bars and stacks are assembled using AuSn hard solder and designed for a wide range of aerospace, defense and industrial applications.
Also on display will be a variety of new products designed to meet the needs of medical applications. These high power IR (2-5W) devices are packaged in a modified TO can and incorporate an integrated, single mode, red pointer diode in the same 9mm housing. Both lasers can be individually addressed or operated in unison. These new laser diodes are available in a wide range of unique, fiber coupled configurations, from 400-800µ. The robust 9mm housing can be modified with an insert sleeve designed for input of a disposable fiber.
