Integrated Metal - a high-precision contract manufacturer- was pleased to ship their first order for solar panel mounting frames in July. These 18' long frames have exacting straightness tolerances that will demonstrate their ability to consistently make difficult weldments to challenging specifications. These components join their growing family of alternative energy products including auxiliary power system components, electrical cabinetry for inverter power conditioning, wind power tower components and bio-solids dryer components.
The growth in the alternative power industry was underlined by the sold-out Energy Connections conference held on May 26, 2010 in Hamilton, Ontario. Federal and local governments are driving this growth with legislation, grants and loans.
