WGS Marks the Third Satellite Family to be Integrated into the CCS-C Baseline

LANHAM, Md., Jan. 23 / - Integral Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ:ISYS) today announced the on-schedule Handover of satellite bus operations for the initial WGS [Wideband Global SATCOM (Satellite Communications)] satellite to the CCS-C (Command and Control System - Consolidated) baseline. WGS is the third MILSATCOM (Military Satellite Communications) program to successfully transition onto the CCS-C baseline.

Steve Roth, Integral Systems' Vice President of Western Programs stated, "This Handover milestone is the culmination of several years of design, development, and implementation with respect to the CCS-C baseline to provide WGS support. Our entire team is thrilled to be a key participant in the activation of a major enhancement to the Warfighter's communication capability."

While CCS-C has supported the legacy MILSATCOM programs since 2003, CCS-C continues to evolve through the integration of new MILSATCOM programs. The CCS-C baseline easily supports multiple programs with varying requirements as demonstrated by the support of the legacy DSCS (Defense Satellite Communication System) and Milstar (Military Strategic and Tactical Relay) programs and the addition of the new WGS program.

Integral Systems is the prime contractor for the CCS-C program, which provides an upgraded capability to command and control the Air Force's communication satellites, including the DSCS, Milstar, WGS, and AEHF (Advanced Extremely High Frequency) satellites.

The results contained in this submission were generated in whole, or in part, through work supporting the MILSATCOM Systems Wing (MCSW).
