Best-Selling Instantiations' Authors, Eric Clayberg and Dan Rubel, to Present at Eclipse Industry Conference
PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 20 /-- WHAT: Instantiations, Inc., a leading provider of software quality and productivity solutions, will unveil its newest tools for Eclipse-based development environments at EclipseCon 2007. In addition, the company's best-selling technical authors, Eric Clayberg, senior vice president product development, and Dan Rubel, CTO, will provide a tutorial based on their book, "Eclipse: Building Commercial-Quality Plug-Ins." Rubel and Phil Quitslund, senior architect, have collected a group of experts for a moderated round-table discussion on the myths and realities of UI testing. Clayberg will participate in a panel discussing how Eclipse must adapt to become the IDE for Ajax.

Tutorial: March 5 (Mon.) 1:30 p.m. Building Commercial-Quality Eclipse Plug-Ins, Parts 1 and 2 Eric Clayberg and Dan Rubel will present a definitive tutorial. In this overview of building commercial-quality extensions for Eclipse RCP, they don't merely introduce the basics; they show how to add the sophistication and "polish" that end users demand. The two-part tutorial is based on their best-selling book, "Eclipse: Building Commercial-Quality Plug-ins" (Addison- Wesley).
Panel: March 7 (Wed.) 10:15 a.m. What Does Eclipse Need To Do To Become the IDE for Ajax?" As a panelist, Eric Clayberg will add his in depth understanding of the Eclipse IDE, his work on Instantiations awarding winning WindowBuilder technology and GWT Designer to this discussion.
Panel: March 7 (Wed.) 4:30 p.m. UI Testing in the Real World: Myths and Realities Dan Rubel and Phil Quitslund have collected a group of experts for a moderated round-table discussion on UI testing. Specific topics include: RCP-specific testing challenges, methodology comparisons, and deployment issues in the real world. The panel will be comprised of tool builders and practitioners and will provide ample opportunities for audience participation.
