Innovative Environmental Technology from UNTHA Awarded with the Salzburg Business Prize 2010

Kuchl - UNTHA shredding technology was awarded with the Salzburg Business Prize 2010 for the best innovation. In the category "Small and medium-sized businesses", the shredder manufacturer was able to clearly outmatch the other competing companies. CEO Alois Kitzberger and the company's head of development Christian Lanner accepted the coveted award in the course of a ceremony held in the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences' grand lecture hall.

With its TR series, UNTHA entered a so-called post-shredder for the award, which is used for the treatment and production of secondary fuels. The extremely reliable and high-performance products of this series are already proving their worth in Austria, Germany, the UK and Ireland. "The increased efficiency and material throughput, the low operating costs and the shorter payback period of the machines have led to a great market success", the jury recognized the company's innovational efforts. In the medium term, the new series could create up to 20 additional jobs and apart from that, the company needs to increase its production area by nearly 100%. "With the TR series, we have launched the most economical and innovative post-shredding solution, which clearly and positively sets itself apart from competitive products", Christian Lanner, head of development, explains with obvious pride after more than two years of development work.
