Heerema Marine Contractors to Streamline Logistics and Increase Asset Utilization with Infor EAM Enterprise Edition
ATLANTA - February 7, 2008 - Infor today announced that Heerema Marine Contractors Netherlands, a leading offshore contractor for the transport, installation and removal of oil and gas infrastructure, has selected Infor EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) Enterprise Edition to ensure the availability of vessels and equipment, and manage the company's inventory of spare parts on ship and shore.
Heerema Marine Contractors' business relies on the uptime of its critical assets including crane vessels, tugs and barges, and various mission equipment. The company will deploy Infor EAM Enterprise Edition to support its Logistic and Equipment Management processes, providing a higher return on assets through improving business process efficiency. Infor EAM Enterprise Edition's built-in functionality will allow Heerema Marine Contractors to manage complex logistics processes to reduce equipment downtime and ensure the availability of critical equipment. The solution will also optimize the company's inventory to ensure parts are on location in time.
The initial implementation of Infor EAM Enterprise Edition on the crane vessel Hermod, offices and yards, is underway and full rollout of the solution throughout the entire fleet will be complete in early 2009.
