Industry Veteran Joins Edmund Optics as Vice President, Global Sales
Barrington, NJ, June 4, 2007. Edmund Optics, an industry leader in providing precision optics and optical components, is pleased to announce the appointment of Allan Kreutzer as Vice President of Global Sales. This veteran of the imaging industry will join EO in expanding the company's presence worldwide.
Kreutzer brings a breadth of experience in the optics and photonics industries to the Edmund Optics team. His background includes 22 years at Heraeus Amersil, world's largest produces of fused quartz and fused silica products, where he served as vice president of marketing and sales and ultimately vice president of business development directing North American Operations.
More recently, Kreutzer served a 10-year stint as the vice president and director of marketing and sales at Schott Glass Technologies, the North American market-share leader for optical glass materials, where he achieved a 65% sales growth with record profitability. He comes to Edmund Optics from a position as vice president of sales and marketing for Lambda Research Corp., where he managed the team handling the company's optical design and illumination analysis software products.
In addition to his domestic sales management experience, Kreutzer brings a deep understanding of the international market to Edmund Optics. Over his career he has made frequent and extensive trips to Asia Pacific-Rim countries, including Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia to work with key customers and improve the effectiveness of regional offices, at one time living in Tokyo for nearly half a year developing market strategies. He has also been a frequent visitor to Europe to coordinate strategy and tactical marketing plans as well as interacting with key customers.

Kreutzer's career spans more than 30 years in the optics industry. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (1965) and an MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall University (1970).
