Industrial Scientific Announces Organizational Changes


PITTSBURGH, PA, USA - 10 Mar 2008 - In order to support the growing organization, Industrial Scientific Corporation announced changes today to its corporate structure. The following organizational changes become effective immediately.

Kevin Miller has been promoted to General Manager, Americas Sales & Services. In this new role, Kevin will have responsibility for all customer-facing sales and service functions for Industrial Scientific Americas. This new position includes driving profitable growth of Industrial Scientific's entire product, service, and solution offering and building channels in emerging geographic markets to deliver outstanding sales and service support to customers. Kevin has been with Industrial Scientific for one year and most recently served as Director of Sales, Americas. Prior to joining Industrial Scientific, Kevin worked for EDMC as Vice-President, Argosy University Online Programs and with Ariba (formerly FreeMarkets) as Director of Global Commercial operations among other roles. Kevin has a bachelor's degree from Davidson College, an MBA from the College of William and Mary, and a J.D. from University of Cincinnati.

Garth Miller has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice-President, Customer Operations. In this new role, Garth will retain responsibility for Technical Support, Customer Services and iNet(TM) Fulfillment. He will assume additional responsibility for Repair Services, Rental Services, Commissioning & Field Services, and Training. Garth will focus on aligning and uniting all service and solution delivery functions to deliver highest quality and best customer service in each touch point the customer has with Industrial Scientific Americas. Garth has been with Industrial Scientific since its founding in 1985 and has served in various roles including Vice-President of Business Development, Vice-President of Sales & Service, and Manager of Engineering. He is a graduate of Point Park College with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Doug Velegol has been appointed to the position of Program Manager. In this role, Doug will be responsible for leading product development projects including product definition, feasibility, resource planning, project execution and launch. Doug's most recent position at Industrial Scientific was as Director of Services. Doug holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and earned his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Doug holds the CPIM (Certification of Production and Inventory Control Management) certification and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. While at Industrial Scientific, Doug also completed his Certified Project Manager credential from Stanford University.
