A line of modular, high shear in-line dynamic mixers for producing creams, lotions, and ointments that require a homogeneous, smooth, and creamy texture are available from Bematek Systems, Inc. of Salem, Massachusetts.
Bematek Wet-Mix Process Systems combine a colloid mill and positive displacement feed pump, matched to customer requirements, for mixing and blending creams, lotions, and ointments. Featuring a high shear mixing head, these in-line dynamic mixing systems are ideally suited for emulsions, dispersions, and the deagglomeration and wetting-out of particles.
Primary developed for cosmetics, food, and pharmaceutical processing, Bematek Wet-Mix Process Systems are FDA, USDA, and 3A compliant and fully scalable. They can mix and blend viscous materials from 1,000 CPS and up, with flow rates from 0.5 to 300 GPM, requiring dispersion down to 1 micron, and ±1% repeatability; depending upon ingredients and application.
