ROLLING MEADOWS, Illinois, August 6, 2007 - MacDermid Autotype, providers of top quality films for membrane switches for over 20 years, has improved its Autoflex AP film to now offer a 0.010" thick gloss film with reduced yellowness. The new, thicker film has been developed to meet the changing demands of the appliance industry while ensuring the printing of brilliant whites with significantly reduced iridescence. Autoflex AP was developed specifically for the appliance market, where a combination of abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and switch life must be achieved in a film in which clarity and color brilliance are also a prerequisite.
Autoflex AP is a high quality, embossable, hard coated polyester film, available in gloss and anti-glare finishes in 5, 7, and now in a 10 ml thicknesses. Autoflex AP features high optical clarity and combines excellent solvent and abrasion resistance. The second surface provides optimum adhesion properties for solvent based or UV screen printing inks.
