Press release date: June 5, 2007

This solution enables USB 2.0 connections over standard AC outlets and will be shown for the first time at Computex in Taipei

BURNABY, BC, June 5 / / -- Icron Technologies Corporation (TSX Venture: IT), the developers of ExtremeUSB(R) announced they are employing Panasonic technology to deliver the world's first USB 2.0 over power line solution. Integrating Icron's patented ExtremeUSB technology and Panasonic's leading edge HD-PLC power line communications devices, the system extends USB 2.0 over standard power lines enabling remote connection of standard USB devices such as keyboards, printers, flash drives, hard drives and web cameras over the AC outlets in your home or office.

"We are excited to once again be able to showcase the flexibility of our ExtremeUSB technology. With the help of Panasonic's leading edge HD-PLC devices, we have been able to quickly implement our platform to extend USB 2.0 over standard power lines," stated Robert Eisses, President and CEO of Icron Technologies. "With power line technology poised to be a major catalyst for converged home network solutions, we are pleased to be working with Panasonic to add USB 2.0 to that picture." The power line implementation complements Icron's portfolio of solutions that extend USB beyond the desktop, including wired (CAT 5 and Fiber Optic) and wireless (802.11g radio and UWB).

The initial prototype demonstrated is a USB 2.0 over power line four port hub and dongle set that enables standard plug and play connection of any USB device. Transparently extending a USB 2.0 connection over standard power lines, the system operates without the need for additional software drivers on Windows, Linux, and MAC-OS systems. Panasonic's HD-PLC chipset provides the physical layer connection, enabling reliable communication at data rates up to 190Mbps over standard power lines.

"Panasonic is delighted that Icron Technologies has selected HD-PLC power line communication technology for adoption in its expanding line of USB extension solutions," said Robin Sweeten, Group Manager, Strategic Marketing for the Panasonic Industrial Company. "Icron's integration of this technology will provide its customers the ultimate flexibility to locate USB devices anywhere in the home ordinary AC outlets exist, with unsurpassed ease of setup. We are pleased that they have joined the growing number of companies supporting HD-PLC as the technology of choice for the throughput speed and stability it delivers."

Icron and Panasonic are demonstrating this revolutionary technology at the HD-PLC Booth B1226 at this week's Computex Show in Taipei.
