ISO 13485:2003 Certification Announcement


Springfield Spring is proud to announce the successful certification to ISO 13485:2003 Quality Management Standard for Medical Devices in addition to recertification of ISO 9001:2008.



Recognized around the world, the ISO 13485:2003 registration is based on eight quality management principles. These include: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, fact-based decision-making and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.



Our decision to submit to the process of ISO 13485 Certification was a proactive one anticipating the demands of our customers and demonstrating our commitment to providing quality services and components for all customers – especially those in the medical industry. We strongly believe augmenting our certification with measurable and sustainable Lean / Six Sigma practices, offers our customers a “Best-in-Class” choice within their respective supply-chains. Springfield Spring now has 3 certified Black Belts and 13 certified Green belts on staff to guide and support Lean / Six Sigma project activities.



The certification of the Company’s compliance with ISO 13485:2003 recognizes the policies, practices and procedures of our firm to ensure consistent quality in the services and components provided to our customers.
