Arthur Huenecke Joins IPC as Chief Information Officer



BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, December 11, 2008 - IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries® announces the addition of Arthur (Art) Huenecke to its staff. As chief information officer (CIO), a newly created position at IPC, Huenecke is responsible for establishing information technology strategy and design, strengthening and leveraging IPC's information infrastructure, providing leadership and vision for IPC applications and databases, overseeing development and maintenance of company applications and databases, developing policies and procedures for application development, system security, data integrity, and ensuring that information technology staff support IPC business requirements.

With more than fifteen years experience in business and information systems management, planning and processing, Huenecke most recently served as integrated business systems manager at Elkay Manufacturing, a plumbing products, cabinetry and water dispensing company, in Oak Brook, Ill. Prior to Elkay Manufacturing, he worked at Flextronics in Oak Brook Terrace, Ill., as information technology director.

"Information technology (IT) is a strategic resource. The CIO is responsible for IT policy development and a key player in the development and implementation of IPC's long-range plan.
