IPC Web Site Now "AUF DEUTSCH"

BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, November 3, 2008 -The Web site of IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries® is now available in German at www.ipc.org.

"This is one example of new activities we've initiated to meet our Board's vision of serving the global electronics industry," said Kim Sterling, IPC vice president of marketing & communications. "Having our site available in German and Chinese is an important step in reaching the major decision makers in electronics manufacturing worldwide today."

Almost all of the pages of the extensive IPC site have been translated, including key features such as IPC news, weekly feature articles and environmental policy issues.

IPC Web content has been available in Chinese since 2003. In discussing the strategic move to add German, Sterling commented, "We wanted to reach the next largest country for electronics production. When we looked at the visitors coming to the site and the number of German members, it made sense as a logical step. We hope to learn from this experience and have the site translated to Japanese next."

To view the IPC site in German, visit www.ipc.org and select Deutsch. For more information or to direct questions, contact Sterling at +1 847-597-2805 or KimSterling@ipc.org.
