IPC Midwest Show Proves Staying Local Can Pay Off
BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, June 18, 2008 - With the cost of gas and travel at record levels and no relief in sight, the "be global, stay local" adage inspired by IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition never sounded so good. Bringing the best of the global electronics industry together in one place, at one time, IPC Midwest will be held September 21-25, 2008, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center, Schaumburg, Ill.
"We're bringing the most current information from around the world on advancements in technology, processes, innovations and even business management issues right to the Midwest," said Denny McGuirk, IPC president. "Imagine the time, energy and money saved by not making multiple trips to have face-to-face meetings with clients or suppliers."
Greg Hurst, a manufacturing engineer with BAE Systems agrees, "It [the show] gave us great access for meetings with key suppliers so we could plan for next year's equipment needs right at budget time. A great, reasonably priced location made our budgets even more effective."

Launched just one year ago, IPC Midwest was developed as the electronics industry's answer to a regional, cost- and time-effective show that would provide relevance to industry members from the first step into the convention center, and throughout the exhibit floor and event. When the region's previous assembly show lost focus, IPC Midwest was organized to bring a world of information on the latest in printed board design and manufacturing, electronics assembly and test to the Midwest - hence, "be global, stay local."
