IPC Elects New Officers/Members to Board of Directors



BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, - The Nominating and Governance Committee of the IPC Board of Directors presented nine candidates for election at the IPC Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, in conjunction with IPC APEX EXPO® at the San Diego Convention Center. Three candidates were elected as board officers and will serve two-year terms beginning February 2012. Six candidates were elected as board directors and will serve four-year terms beginning February 2012.

The three board officers are:

o Chairman of the Board - Stephen Pudles, CEO, Spectral Response LLC - A recipient of the IPC Presidents Award, Pudles is a founding member of IPC's Electronics Manufacturing Services Industry (EMSI) Council and has been an IPC Board member since 2000.

o Vice Chairman - Marc Peo, President, Heller Industries - Peo has served on the SMEMA Dual Rail Committee, IPC SMEMA Council Steering Committee and IPC APEX Trade Show Subcommittee. He has been an IPC Board member since 2009.

o Secretary/Treasurer - Joseph O'Neil, President, Hunter Technology Corporation -O'Neil has chaired several IPC/CCA Sacramento Days and has been an active member of IPC's Board since 2006.

The six board directors are:

o First-term director - Michael Carano, Director Global Business Development & Strategic Marketing, OMG Electronic Chemicals, LLC - A recipient of the IPC Presidents Award, Carano has been active in IPC for nearly 25 years and serves on the Executive Market & Technology Steering Committee and PCB Suppliers Council. He previously served on the IPC Board from 2004 to 2010.

o First-term director - Robert Neves, Chairman & Chief Technology Officer, Microtek Laboratories - A recipient of the IPC Raymond E. Pritchard Hall of Fame and the IPC Presidents awards, Neves has been involved in IPC since 1986. He has participated on nearly 50 standards development committees and is a Lifetime Member of the Technical Activities Executive Committee, where he served as chairman.

o First-term director - Tony Zhou, President, RayVal (Suzhou) Technologies Co., Ltd - Zhou is active on the IPC EMS Steering Committee in China.

o Second-term director - Robert Black, Jr., President and CEO, Juki Automation Systems Inc. - A recipient of the IPC Presidents Award, Black helped found the IPC APEX exhibition. He chairs the IPC SMEMA Steering Committee and has been an IPC Board member since 2008.

o Second-term director - Rex Rozario, OBE, Executive Chairman, Graphic Plc - Rozario was a founding member of the Printed Circuit Interconnection Federation (PCIF) in the United Kingdom and was also its first chair. He is deputy secretary general of World Electronic Circuits Council and has been an IPC Board member since 2008.

o Second-term director - Don Schroeder, Consultant, CTS Corporation - Schroeder chairs the IPC Executive Market & Technology Steering Committee. He was elected to his first term on the Board in 2006 and served as secretary/treasurer from 2010-2012.
