IPC APEX India - Launch of More Than a Premier Conference and Exhibition



Nearly 1,000 attendees take part in inaugural event



BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA — The inaugural IPC APEX India™ conference and exhibition was held 26–29 August at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bangalore, India. The new IPC event welcomed nearly 1,000 process engineers, design engineers, purchasing managers, corporate executives and others from original equipment manufacturers, electronics manufacturing companies, printed board fabricators and industry suppliers. Along with a technical conference and professional development workshops, a trade show with 34 exhibitors was held to provide visitors with the latest information on new technologies and processes as well as new products in electronics manufacturing.



Two exhibitors showcasing new products were Global Electronics LLC of Plano, Texas, USA, and PCB Power/CSIL of Ahmedebad, India. Global Electronics LLC premiered its new PCBTech brand standalone router, the first router of its kind to be manufactured and assembled in India. PCB Power/CSIL launched two new products at the show: an SMD solder paste stencil printer and its SMD reflow oven.



“APEX India 2013 was great and I was proud to be a part of this show as an exhibitor. In addition to the conference, trade show and workshops, IPC APEX India featured competitions that brought together the most skilled hand soldering technicians and PCB designers in India with the winners and runners-up receiving free admission to IPC certification courses.



IPC established its India operation in 2010, and today the association has more than 50 member companies in India.
