July 16, 2007, Depew, NY, USA- The IMI Sensors Division of PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) has received CSA hazardous area approval for the new Model 685B0001C14 electronic vibration switch. The certification includes Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C & D; and Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, & G.
This approval allows for implementation of the Series 685B dual alarm electronic vibration switch into hazardous rated environments for reliable continuous vibration monitoring and shutdown protection. The switch offers variable time delays, dual 10 amp form C relays, and dual NPT openings for ease of installation. As offered on all standard models, the switch also features a 4-20 mA output proportional to the measurement range; as well as the raw vibration signal from the integral accelerometer, for system diagnostics and spectrum analysis.
