IDT NSEs Enable a Broader Range of Higher Bandwidth, Next Generation Services for Network Solutions to be Deployed by China Mobile, the Largest Mobile Services Provider in China

SAN JOSE, Calif., - October 23, 2007 - IDT® (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; NASDAQ: IDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience, announced today that Datang Mobile Telecommunications Co., Ltd., has selected an IDT network search engine (NSE) with integrated LA-1 interface for use in the Datang mobile radio network controller (RNC). Now shipping, this product will be used in third-generation (3G) TD-SCDMA network solutions deployed by China Mobile, the largest mobile services provider in China, as part of its third-generation (3G) TD-SCDMA trial network expansion program.

The IDT network search engines, as well as their IDT search accelerator cousins, enable the higher bandwidth and network intelligence needed to realize the next generation digital media experience across wired and wireless networks. The IDT search engine and accelerator families deliver the industry's highest performance and lowest power per entry searched, enabling Datang to deliver advanced quad-play services such as Internet access, video streaming, and remote access to corporate applications over mobile communications. The IDT NSE with integrated LA-1 interface is the only NSE that has been shipping in mass production in the Datang RNC V2.0. The RNC V3.0, also using IDT NSEs, is under development.

"IDT has worked closely with Datang over the last few years to help bring to market its 3G TD-SCDMA mobile communication system and we continue to work together in developing future solutions," stated Dave Cech, director of marketing for the IDT IP Co-Processors Division. "Our network search engines are designed to cost-effectively enable high-performance, low-power packet processing. We are very excited that service providers, such as China Mobile, can utilize our search technology to efficiently deploy bandwidth-intensive applications and services, including the delivery of high-quality video and Internet access to mobile handsets."

The TD-SCDMA proposed by Datang Telecom Technology, an industry group on behalf of the Chinese government, was approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in May 2000, and by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) in March 2001 as one of the 3G mobile communications standards.

About IDT Network Search Engines and Search Accelerators

The family of IDT network search engines, with a fully integrated LA-1 interface, includes devices in 128Kx36 through 512Kx36 entry configurations with performance up to 250 million searches per second (MSPS). The family of LA-1 NSEs is supported by a rich feature set, including dynamic database management(TM) resulting in up to 70 percent power savings when compared to alternative solutions, aging for efficient table management, and multi-database lookup (MDL) which allows the user to issue a search in up to eight databases for improved NSE search performance capabilities.

Building on the industry leading IDT network search engine family, the IDT search accelerator assists packet header processing with industry leading performance and service capabilities at wire speed. Enabling next-generation networking equipment to work faster, smarter and more efficiently, and manufactured on the TSMC 90-nm process technology, the IDT search accelerators process complex IPv6 policy lookups at 40 Gbps throughput and beyond. With integrated error correction code to improve data integrity and system uptime, the search accelerators accelerate packet header classification and forwarding in core, metro and access networks.
