TIBCO honored with 2006 Technology of the Year Award
PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 5 -- TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TIBX), a leading business integration and process management software company that enables real-time business, today announced that IDG's InfoWorld, the leading integrated media brand for strategic technology decision-makers, has honored the company with a prestigious 2006 Technology of the Year Award, selecting TIBCO General Interface® 3.1 as the "Best AJAX Toolkit" of the year. InfoWorld's annual Technology of the Year Awards recognize the top nine technologies that made the greatest impact during the past year, and identify the products that best exemplify the implementation of those technologies.
TIBCO General Interface is a Rich Internet Application (RIA) development solution that uses the asynchronous communications, JavaScript, and XML ("AJAX") capabilities present in common Web browsers to allow developers to easily deploy Rich Internet Applications without dependency on applets, plug- ins or installation of client/server frameworks.
