Returning to ICUEE: New Product & Technology Program, "Ride and Drive" Demo

A New Product & Technology Program for the 2009 ICUEE, International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition will highlight exhibitors' new-to-market innovations. And, a Ride and Drive track for on-road commercial vehicles will expand the hands-on working equipment demonstrations that the show is known for.

ICUEE 2009 will be held October 6-8, 2009 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

"These are just a few of the ways we boost the value proposition of the show," stated ICUEE Show Director Melissa Magestro. "Attendees' time and money are in short supply, so we want to be sure they get the maximum ROI out of their show visit."

Magestro notes that exhibitor interest in the 2009 ICUEE remains high, with strong space sales continuing, and that advance registration numbers are also encouraging. "Undoubtedly this is a tough time to do business. But savvy professionals know they need to be up to speed on the latest industry innovations, and that they'll find them at ICUEE."

Show management has partnered with other industry groups to bring additional exhibits and education options to the 2009 show. ICUEE registration also gives attendees access to the new H2O-XPO exposition (from the National Rural Water Association), the iP Safety Conference and Expo, and the IUV Technical Conference.

The industry-focused educational programming at ICUEE 2009 will offer a record number of sessions, exploring the latest in renewable energy, safety, gas, electric, water/wastewater, telecom, underground, equipment/fleet management, and professional development issues.

ICUEE 2009 exhibits will cover more than 1 million net square feet of exhibit space, displaying the latest technologies for the electric, phone and cable, sewer and water, gas, general construction, landscaping and public works sectors.

New Product & Technology Program, "Ride and Drive" Details

The ICUEE 2009 New Product & Technology Program recently debuted online in the Exhibitor Directory section (http://www.icuee.com/Overview/ExhibitorDirectory/). To be included, the products must be new as of January 1, 2009 and deliverable by December 31, 2009.

Attendees can use the directory and online "map your show" feature to plan their onsite visit with a list of "must-see" exhibits (and must-attend education sessions). The onsite print show directory will also spotlight the complete list of New Product & Technology Program participants.

In the Ride and Drive demo area, attendees can test drive commercial vehicles "on the open road" to better evaluate not only the trucks but also engines and components, including transmissions, power systems, clutch and brake systems, safety and collision warning systems, fleet, fuel and GPS management systems, and hybrid and alternative fuel systems.

Hands-on working equipment demonstrations at ICUEE also take place in outdoor exhibit space that is suitable for shallow digging, in addition to areas for deep digging. Hard-asphalt outdoor exhibit space accommodates above-ground and overhead demonstrations.

Advance registration is open and saves 50 percent off the onsite fee. Registering in advance for show education also saves attendees money and time.
