Press release date: January 10, 2006

January 10, 2006, Depew, NY, USA - The Model 410A01 signal conditioner from the Force/Torque Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. (PCB®) is designed for operation with Integrated Circuit Piezoelectric (ICP®) force or strain sensors and is ideally suited for monitoring forces experienced during manufacturing, assembly, on-line processes, quality assurance, or end-of-line product testing.

The unit synchronizes with machine cycles through a reset feature while analog and peak hold outputs allow for real-time monitoring. It is ideal for monitoring and other product quality assurance applications requiring the measurement of repetitive force curves, where control limits are set on the peak force or signature to prevent acceptance of non-conforming parts. DIN rail mounting offers convenient installation into protective enclosures to withstand harsh, industrial environments.

Piezoelectric ICP® sensors feature high rigidity and have no moving parts inside them, thus are not susceptible to fatigue or changes in sensitivity over billions of cycles. Piezoelectric sensors are therefore ideal for product quality assurance applications that require the measurement of repetitive cycles.
