HANNOVER, Germany - Today, ICONICS a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner of the Year, and provider of Web-enabled, OPC-based, HMI/SCADA Visualization and Manufacturing Intelligence software for Microsoft Windows® operating systems, announced the use of Microsoft StreamInsight technology as an integral part of its Energy Analytics solution.
Energy Analytics, the "green" component to the BizViz family of analytic solutions, assists companies with energy conservation efforts by offering actionable intelligence that helps users make better decisions for the future. This information will allow building owners to reduce energy consumption, aggregate and summarize energy usage by location, and forecast energy costs over time. With costs of energy increasing, the need for such a solution has never been greater. Energy Analytics helps companies reduce their overall carbon footprint through optimization of energy consumption and assists companies in meeting LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards. Users gain insight into energy consumption patterns, correlate information using Microsoft SharePoint integrated dashboards, and "dollarize" energy usage data to optimize asset utilization.

The ICONICS Energy Analytics solution integrates Microsoft's new .NET Complex Event Processing (CEP) engine, known as StreamInsight. Today's energy monitoring and analysis software requires powerful data merging and aggregation features that traditional SQL queries and algorithms may have difficulty with. By integrating Microsoft's StreamInsight technology and building upon the robust Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 platform, ICONICS revolutionizes the energy analysis market with advanced algorithms and data normalization to facilitate easily identifiable and meaningful energy consumption and carbon reduction measures.
