The Application of Cutting Small, Medium, and Large Profiles in Fiber Laser Cutting

Monday, November 12; 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Hypertherm's Tate Picard and Douglas Shuda discuss how process parameters impact fiber laser cutting and explain how to automatically optimize the cutting outcome.

Comparative Cutting: Laser, Waterjet, and Plasma

Tuesday, November 13; 8 to 10 a.m.

Hypertherm's Jim Colt joins two industry peers to discuss three popular cutting methods. Jim will show session attendees how new advancements in plate cutting technology allow plasma to replace oxy-fuel when cutting metal up to 2" thick.

Automated Plasma Cutting: Process Challenges and How to Achieve Successful Outcomes and Recent Technology Advancements in the Plasma Cutting of Stainless Steel

Tuesday, November 13; 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

This session, covering automated plasma cutting advances, is led by a trio of Hypertherm experts. First, Bob Boyes and Derek Weston explore new edge profiling technology designed to help fabricators achieve fast, accurate, and consistent bevel cuts. Then, Jesse Tyler shows attendees how recent advancements are improving the cut quality achieved with plasma on stainless steel.

All of the above sessions are scheduled to take place in Room N116, while the following presentation occurs in Room N120.

Better Holes with Plasma: What You Need to Know to Take Hole Cutting to the Next Level

Tuesday, November 13, 10:30 to 12:30 p.m.

While many acknowledge the difficulties in using plasma for hole cutting, Hypertherm's Dan McLenithan highlights advancements in hole cutting technology which have enabled a way to significantly improve hole quality from a functional perspective while lowering operating costs.

In addition, show attendees can learn more about metal cutting by taking part in the numerous mini-sessions taking place directly in Hypertherm's main show booth (N3906). Topics covered during these 10 minute sessions include stainless steel cutting performance, plasma beveling technology, fiber laser verses other cutting technologies and more.
