This briefing will feature presentations by several International Energy Agency Hydrogen Implementing Agreement (IEA HIA) Members on their respective hydrogen programs and initiatives, including their fuel cell activities. Key aspects of the other IEA HIA Member programs will be highlighted as well.
Hydrogen R,D&D is thriving worldwide. The IEA HIA is the leading global collaboration for hydrogen R,D&D. IEA HIA Member programs, dedicated activities and initiatives reflect the rich diversity of competencies and strategic priorities of the IEA HIA Membership - including 21 nations, the Commission of the European Union and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). These important efforts span the full range of topics in hydrogen R,D&D. Today's IEA HIA research will influence tomorrow's activities. As hydrogen energy gets closer to commercialization, the potential for impact becomes clearer: witness the May 16 announcement of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Germany and Japan on future cooperation in developing the hydrogen infrastructure, as well as mobile and stationary applications.
