Presentations are Invited for ASTM International Hydrogen Embrittlement Workshop
W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.-The Seventh Annual Hydrogen Embrittlement Workshop will be held on Nov. 17, 2011, at the Marriott Waterside in Tampa, Fla. Sponsored by ASTM International Subcommittee F07.04 on Hydrogen Embrittlement, part of Committee F07 on Aerospace and Aircraft, the workshop will be held in conjunction with the November standards development meetings of the committee.
The workshop is the only annual technical meeting devoted to hydrogen embrittlement testing technology for the aerospace industry, and is an ideal setting for exchanging ideas with, and obtaining feedback from, your technical colleagues in the hydrogen embrittlement testing community.
Presentations are solicited in all areas of hydrogen embrittlement technology, including evaluation of existing test methods, proposal of new test methods, failure mechanisms, prevention and other related topics. No written paper is required. Please submit presentation titles via email to workshop co-chairmen Ed Babcock (ed.a.babcock@boeing.com) or Stephen Gaydos (stephen.p.gaydos@boeing.com) by Sept. 30.
Online registration opens approximately eight weeks before the workshop and closes Nov. 9. The fee to attend the workshop for non-ASTM members is $50 USD for online registration and $75 USD for onsite registration. There is no fee for ASTM members and students with a valid ID.
