Huber Announces Decreased Lead Time for Lithosperse 7005CS Treated Kaolin for North American Customers

ATLANTA, Oct. 15, 2007 - Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), part of J.M. Huber Corporation, today announced a decrease in lead time of its popular Lithosperse® 7005CS treated kaolin clay from 45 days to 14 days for (full truckload orders) to North American customers and distributors.

Lithosperse 7005CS is a chemically-treated, fine particle size kaolin clay, and is Huber's flagship clay/additive for ink - primarily lithographic, gravure and news inks. The extender provides highly effective thixotropic properties to ink formulators while maintaining easy dispersion and outstanding print definition.

"Lithosperse can help to extend more costly pigments or additives," said Vidhya Belapure, global product manager - industrial specialties. "Also, Huber initiated a Six Sigma® project to make its production processes more efficient, which has resulted in increasing capacity by about 30 percent. We're very pleased with our team's effort to innovate and develop solutions to meet the needs of our customers."
