Press release date: December 22, 2006

MILFORD, Conn., Dec. 22, 2006 - LINKOSITY(TM), the power distribution system from Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems, achieved wide recognition in 2006 for its innovative modular plug-and-play wiring method that enables fast installation and high technical performance for 20A and 30A circuits up to 600V. The plug-and-play method garnered the "product of the year" award in the wiring systems category from EC&M magazine and is also a category finalist for "product of the year" award from Plant Engineering magazine.

Hubbell's innovative wiring system not only is fast and easy to install but its versatile architecture and reusability improves productivity and drastically reduces the total cost of ownership of electrical power systems. For example, LINKOSITY was recently installed in an area of operations at a frozen food processing plant in Pennsylvania where the Hubbell system reduced downtime by more than 80 percent, according to plant personnel.

Alternative installations of pipe and wire are dedicated to specific applications and typically require labor-intensive components. LINKOSITY, on the other hand, takes the guesswork out of job site interpretation of electrical wiring requirements, ensuring consistently high quality, error-free installations.

Hubbell's LINKOSITY system consists of re-configurable, factory-defined assemblies that can be easily installed and reused for a wide range of applications including industrial and commercial facilities, construction sites, and military, medical and emergency preparedness facilities. Besides its code-compliant assemblies, LINKOSITY's basic components include NEMA-configured point-of-use devices and separately derived power supplies. Developed by Lockheed Martin, the LINKOSITY technology has been exclusively licensed to Hubbell Inc. for both its cable and power elements.
