BRUSSELS, Jan. 03, 2007 - Honeywell (NYSE:HON) has secured a contract with leading Swedish regional newspaper publisher Nya Wermlands-Tidningen AB (NWT), to upgrade the existing Honeywell Printa Press Control System at its main operations in Karlstad, as well as extend it to a new third printing press at the site.

NWT is expanding its Karlstadt operations and the Honeywell solution will significantly speed up the printing process, enabling it to increase newspaper production output. "Honeywell's expert migration services will ensure the upgrade takes place efficiently, and with minimum impact to plant production, whilst remaining highly cost effective," said Patrik Martinsson, production manager at NWT. "We've used the existing Honeywell Printa Press Control System since 1995 and the solution has proved extremely reliable. This was also a significant factor in our selection of Honeywell for the extension project."

"Honeywell is continually investing in new technologies in order to help our printing customers improve their ability to compete," said Juha Kankainen sales manager for printing solutions at Honeywell."With the Printa Press Control System, we're providing NWT with a long term, consistent evolution to the next generation of automation and control.
