Honeywell Forms Independent Software Vendor Advisory Council for Scanning and Mobility Solutions


Council Comprised of Top Executives from Independent Software Vendor Network

Fort Mill, S.C. - October 26, 2010 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the formation of its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Advisory Council, a 10-member body of industry executives that will advise Honeywell Scanning & Mobility on market trends and industry innovations impacting the automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) industry. The ISV Advisory Council will also play a role in the development of Honeywell Scanning & Mobility's go-to-market product plans for new solutions.

"We've seen great success in our ISV Partner Program over the past year and this council was created to expand upon those existing strategic relationships," said Laura Kelleher, director of Americas marketing, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. The council's first meeting took place August 12-13, during which goals and future plans for the program were discussed. The kick-off meeting also covered topics including hardware vendor trends, hardware certification standards and lifecycle services.
