HIRSCHMANN Engineering U.S.A., Inc., of Elgin, Illinois recently announced that their parent company, HIRSCHMANN GmbH has received the EN 9100 Aerospace Series Certification. The certification's Quality Management System and requirements are based on ISO 9001: 2000, Quality Management Systems, which is technically equivalent to AS 9100 and JISQ 9100. The certificate was issued in Munich Germany on October 16, 2006 by AeroCert the issuing certification body for management systems.
The certificate confirms that HIRSCHMANN GmbH has installed and applied a quality management system for: Research, Development, Production, Sales and Maintenance of Rod Ends, Spherical Bearings, Axial Shaft Seals, Fixturing Systems for wire and sink EDM and milling machines and Handling Systems. The certification is valid until October 9, 2009.
As stated by Peter Knowles, President of HIRSCHMANN Engineering, U.S.A., "This new certification will allow HIRSCHMANN to better serve the aerospace industry with it's existing products and is a win-win for both HIRSCHMANN and the aerospace industry."

Inc is a FANUC Robotics authorized system integrator and offers their own CMS Cell Master control software for automation and monitoring. HIRSCHMANN Engineering U.S.A. Inc is also exclusive importer of all Oelheld GmbH fluids that include IonoplusŪ synthetic dielectric fluid and SintoGrind TTSŪ high-speed synthetic grinding fluid.
