Henkel Selects Saddle Creek as Lead Logistics Provider

Lakeland, Fla. – Henkel Consumer Goods Inc. has selected Saddle Creek Logistics Services as the company's Lead Logistics Provider (LLP). In this new role, Saddle Creek will oversee execution, monitoring and reporting of the consumer goods company's supply chain logistics performance in the United States and Canada.

Saddle Creek will serve as the liaison between all third-party logistics providers for Henkel in North America and provide day-to-day support for a wide range of functions, including order management, shipping, and KPI reporting. The LLP will also provide on-going management support for warehouse and transportation development, systems enhancements, supply chain network improvements and more.

"Outsourcing our logistics division will help to reduce costs throughout our logistics operations while allowing us to focus on core competencies," said Torsten Pilz, senior vice president, supply chain, Henkel Consumer Goods Inc. "Saddle Creek was the right choice for our LLP because of our long-standing business relationship, their superior execution and their integrated suite of services."

For more than two decades, Saddle Creek has gradually expanded the complexity of the services it provides to the company. "This new role is a natural progression for us – the culmination of a long history together," said Rob Pericht, Saddle Creek's senior vice president of warehouse operations. "We look forward to entering this new phase of our relationship. With Henkel's ever-changing and expanding supply chain, we will focus on delivering quality logistics execution management with an eye toward continuous improvement."

Saddle Creek will assume its new role in March and operate from Henkel Consumer Goods Inc. consumer products headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz.
