Henkel Honored with Two Inaugural Prime Source Awards from Electrical/Electronics Distributor, EIS

Based on its commitment to success and ability to meet a set of challenging objectives, the electronics and industrial groups of Henkel have been awarded Prime Source Awards from Atlanta, Georgia-based EIS, a leading electrical/electronics industry distributor. The awards were presented to Henkel's Jim Sharp, electronics group Southeastern Territory Manager, and Ken Helfers, industrial group Distribution Account Executive by EIS, President and CEO, Bob Thomas, at a special ceremony on January 19th in Orlando, Florida.

Henkel and EIS have been supplier-distributor partners since 1989, with EIS representing Henkel's advanced assembly and semiconductor materials, industrial adhesives, sealants and assembly equipment throughout North America. In an effort to recognize outstanding commitment and support of its suppliers, EIS launched the Prime Source Award program in 2007. Eligibility for the program is predicated on exceeding annual sales of $1,000,000.00 of the supplier's products. Criteria for winning one of the prestigious awards includes achieving sales revenue growth of at least 7%, a total profitability index improvement of at least 10 points over the previous year and positive results from a sales and customer development field survey of EIS sales and management personnel. Henkel successfully met or exceeded all of the award conditions, thus resulting in the company's double win.

Commenting on Henkel's achievement, EIS President, Bob Thomas, says, "The EIS Prime Source Award was designed as more than a sales achievement, as we fully recognize that excellent results are not solely dependent on good products. The sales support, applications expertise and product development know-how of the Henkel team are what make our partnership with them so successful. We heartily congratulate them on winning two of the first Prime Source Awards and exemplifying supplier excellence."

Brian Betti, Henkel North American Distribution Manager, echoes Mr. Thomas's comments on partnership. "The EIS channel has been highly productive for Henkel, as evidenced by our long association with this top-notch firm. Like EIS, Henkel believes that success cannot only be measured by dollar volume, but by a firm commitment by both parties to ensuring that our customers' current and future manufacturing requirements are met. We are delighted that Henkel's efforts have been recognized with two Prime Source Awards."

Over 50 EIS suppliers were eligible for the 2007 Prime Source Awards, with qualification being an achievement in and of itself. At the January 19th ceremony, fourteen suppliers-including both Henkel's electronics and industrial groups -- were honored as the first winners of this awards contest.
