Press release date: March 9, 2011

WOODRIDGE, Ill. - Hendrickson has scheduled its next round of technical suspension training for the heavy-duty transportation industry with its eighth edition of the Hendrickson Vehicle Suspension Institute (HVSI).

Over 270 technicians from the United States and Canada from independent repair facilities, fleets, and OE service dealerships have participated in the past seven installments. These training sessions have taken place previously in Chicago, Canton, Ohio, Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary.

The HVSI program provides technicians as well as parts and service personnel with an orientation for the recommended installation, service, maintenance and repair procedures for newer models of Hendrickson truck and trailer suspensions.

Two sessions will be held from April 26, 2011 through April 29, 2011 at the Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga, California. These two sessions will be hands-on training covering the PRIMAAX® and HAULMAAX® suspensions as well as the new COMPOSILITE(TM) SC lift axle. The new COMPOSILITE SC features reduced weight, minimized package space, and the industry's first flexible tie-rod and dampened lift axle design.

Hendrickson regional service managers and technical support managers conduct the training sessions which are spread over a day and a half. Additional sessions are planned for later in 2011 and will be announced at a later date.

"The overwhelming feedback on our HVSI program has been outstanding," said Edward Powderly, aftermarket business unit manager for Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems. "It is our goal to train as many technicians as possible to keep our customers trucks and trailers on the road and in optimum condition."

For additional information about the Hendrickson Vehicle Suspension Institute and how to sign up for the upcoming session, please contact Brian VanCamp at 630-910-2838 or contact your local Hendrickson representative.
