HealthTexas Provider Network Selects White Plume for ICD-10 Productivity

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - HealthTexas Provider Network is piloting White Plume's ePASS product suite to prepare their physicians for ICD-10. HealthTexas Provider Network was established in 1994.  Headquartered in Dallas, TX, HealthTexas is a multi-specialty medical group that employs over 590 physicians practicing in 191 care delivery sites in the North Texas area.

The pilot encompasses a group of primary care physicians from three locations in Ellis County using an EHR to document their encounters. White Plume's AccelaPASS™ picks up the encounter charge data and sends it to AccelaSMART™ for validation.

The software will identify whether to use ICD-9 or ICD-10 based on payer and service date and custom rules can be built to standardize the business and compliance policies that HealthTexas needs.

Not all the physicians employed by HealthTexas use their EHR to create charges. The roll out plan for them will encompass using AccelaCAPTURE™ to electronically capture their charges and pass them to AccelaSMART.

"We are proud to be a part of HealthTexas' strategy for ICD-10," states Matthew Menendez, VP of Sales and Marketing for White Plume. "White Plume provides a technology solution for HealthTexas' professional fee coding that ensures October 1, 2014 is a non-event for their office-based physicians while minimizing the revenue and productivity losses associated with ICD-10 anticipated by most organizations."
