Harris Organization Change


Peachtree City, GA, July 13, 2010 - Harris is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Galason as President. Ken will remain based in Cordele and assume his new role effective immediately. Ken joined Harris in 2009 as Vice President of Operations and holds a B.S. in Engineering from Southern Illinois University. Ken brings over 15 years of manufacturing operations experience to the role and is dedicated to extending Harris's leadership in the recycling equipment industry.

Ken will continue to focus on strengthening Harris's commitment to customers with new product technology advances and excellence in manufacturing. Ken states, "Harris will be driven by the voice of the customer. Harris will lead the industry in quality, innovation, and performance. I firmly believe our employees are our biggest asset to accomplish this mission."

Melrose, Harris's parent company, fully supports the efforts of the management team. Jim Slattery, COO of North America for Melrose states, "Harris is well-managed and continues to make great strides forward.
